Eclipse tooling

Introduction

The goal of this project is to ensure a better adoption of the Restlet Framework by providing tooling based on the Eclipse IDE. This project will initially start in the Restlet Incubator.

Requirements

High priority

• RFE #191 : Add an Eclipse distribution
• RFE #549 : Add application wizard
• RFE #550 : Add component wizard
• RFE #551 : Add resource wizard
• Facilitate the setup of a cross-edition Restlet projects (GWT + GAE for example) similar to the Google Eclipse plug-in

Medium priority

• Provide project templates (scaffolding)
• Facilitate documentation of REST APIs
• Manage synchronization of code between clients and servers
• Auto-completion
• Add router wizard (list of URIs, target resource classes, routing mode, etc.)
• Client code generation

Low priority

• Service discovery (via Zeroconf?)
